in 2016, a new fluid specification for a "Dexron Approved" Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP was introduced in a GM Technical Service Bulletin 16-NA-175. The revision was to help correct a torque converter clutch shudder in the GM 8L90, 8L80, and 8L45 automatic transmissions. Dexron LV ATF HP is made by Mobil and is marketed as Mobil 1 LV ATF HP. Dexron LV ATF HP is composed of a Poly-alpha-olefin (PAO) Group IV Base oil and additives developed by Afton Chemical needed for the proper operation of the 2015 and above GM 8L90 8-Speed rear wheel drive automatic transmission. The current GM specification that defines the fluid is GMW16974 (2nd Edition, May 2017). 해당 블랙라벨의 mobil1 LV ATF HP black label은 16년도에 생산되었으며 새로운 유체가 추가되었으며 자동 변속기 TCC 떨림을 수정하기 위해 만들어진 오일입니다. 하지만 해당 미션오일로도 미션슬립문제가 해결되지 않음이 미국 커뮤니티에서 처음 나왔고 2018년 말
Mobil 1 Lv ATF HP blue label 이 출시되었습니다. 2018년 10월에 새로나온 이 오일은 추가적 유체사양 (GMNA-9986555)이 도입되었고 2018년 12월 GM 기술 서비스(18-NA-355)에 도입되었습니다. 해당 개정안에는 시스템을 완전히 플러싱 한 후 GM8L90 및 8L45자동 변속기에서 토크 컨버터 클러치 떨림을 교정하는 것을 돕기위함 이라고 명시되어 있습니다. 이 유체는 용기 전면에 파란색 라벨이 붙어 있으며 컨테이너 뒷면에 J-62120라이센스 번호가 적혀 있습니다.
GM 기술 서비스 18-NA-355를 찾아보면 TCC Shudder and New Mobil 1 Fluid ExchangeA new transmission fluid exchange procedure and a new formula of Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP transmission fluid have been released to address torque converter clutch (TCC) shudder conditions on 8L45 and 8L90 8-speed automatic transmissions (RPOs M5N, M5T, M5U, M5X) in some 2015-2017 Escalade, Yukon; 2015-2018 Silverado, Sierra; 2015-2019 Corvette; 2016-2018 CT6; 2016-2019 ATS, CTS, Camaro; and 2017-2019 Colorado and Canyon models. The new fluid exchange procedure requires the use of the DT-45096 TransFlow Cooler Flush Machine and DT-52263 Transmission Fluid Exchange Tool Kit. (Fig. 10) The tool kit began shipping to dealerships at no charge in late January 2019. All GM dealerships should receive the tool kits by the end of March 2019.
Shudder Test The new service procedure addresses shake and/or shudder conditions during light throttle acceleration between 25 and 80 MPH (40 and 128 KM/H) at a steady speed when the transmission is not shifting gears. To ensure TCC shudder is diagnosed correctly, drive the vehicle on a smooth road with transmission sump temperature between 122°F (50°C) – 158°F (70°C). Constant throttle input on a smooth grade is needed. A shudder condition may also be a chuggle, surge or vibration condition. Use GDS 2 or the CH-51450 PicoScope to confirm that the concern is TCC shudder and not a tire/wheel vibration or a driveline vibration, for example. A screen print from GDS 2 or the PicoScope showing the TCC shudder event must be attached to the Repair Order hard copy. (Fig. 11) If TCC shudder is present, a vibration peak will appear within +/- 2 Hz of the frequency listed in Bulletin #18-NA-355. Refer to the bulletin for additional information, including required shudder test conditions for each vehicle being diagnosed as well as the fluid exchange procedures.  Fluid Exchange The TCC shudder condition is related to moisture content in the transmission fluid. The current fluid tends to be hydroscopic, or absorbs moisture, which increases the chance of TCC shudder. There are three different fluid exchange procedures to follow, depending on vehicle application, so that an acceptable concentration of the new HP fluid is achieved in the transmission. The new Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP transmission fluid is now available to U.S. dealerships through your local GM Oil Distributor. The new Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP transmission fluid is available in quart bottles (GM Part Number 19417577) and, for a limited time, in 55-gallon drums (GM Part Number 19417904) (Fig. 12) in most locations. Drum production ended in January 2019. The GM part numbers are not on the product. The Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP fluid and the required tool kit will be available to all Canadian dealerships by the end of March 2019. GM Part Numbers for 0.946 liter bottles will be provided at that time.  TIP: Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP transmission fluid is required for all 8-speed transmission repairs regardless of the repair being completed. Quart bottles, which can be identified by a new blue banner across the front of the bottle (Fig. 13), will be limited to 20 cases/120 quarts per dealer per week during the initial launch of the new product. The new bottles also feature the HP license number J-62120 on the back label. The use of the black label Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP fluid (GM Part Number 19355656) should be discontinued. 라고 명시되어 있으며 위의 내용은 해당 오일이 적용되어야하는 차종 (17-19카마로외 다수) shudder 테스트 방법 및 오일의 수분함량이 TCC shudder의 가장큰 원인이라는 분석을 하고있습니다. 또한 마지막으로 TIP 부분에서 수리가 완료되더라도 blue label 오일을 사용해야한다고 적혀있으며 마지막 부분에 black label의 미션오일의 사용을 중단해야한다고 적혀있습니다. 사업소 가셔서 미션오일 교환하실때 라벨색깔 잘 확인하시길 바랍니다. 현재 미국에서는 해당 미션의 차주들이 소송을 진행중입니다. 미국에서 상당히 크게 이슈가 되고있는 미션에 대한 문제를 국내 GM은 아무런 정보도 알지 못하고 소비자들에게 알려주지도 못하고 있는 실정에 안타까울 뿐입니다.... 해당 blue label 오일을 구매하려고 Mobil1에 직접 연락도 해봤으나 해당 오일은 인증문제로 현재 직구를 할 수도 없으며 생산되는 족족 빠져나가는 탓에 재고 축적에 어려움을 겪고 있는 모양입니다. 저는 전문가도 아니며 정비에 대해 아는게 없는 초보입니다. 다만 여러 해외 사이트를 돌아다니며 정보를 수집하였으며 이는 정확한 정보가 아닐수도 있음을 알려드리는 바입니다. 이상이며 긴글 읽어 주셔서 감사합니다. |
